The characters are Gloria and Robbie, Gloria is a little girl and Robbie is a Robot. Robbie is playing with Gloria. Gloria tells Robbie a story. Glorias mom is looking for Gloria because its dinner so she goes with her.

I, Robot by Isaac Asimov
My book is about the future being about robots taking over, this one character is against it and tries stoping them. In the chapter I'm reading it tells me how the doctor starts working with the robots.
