Heroes Don't Run

In my book my character is going to visit his grandfather who is a WW1 veteran, the main character is going to sign up to go to the Marines and since his mother doesn't want him to go he is going to go with his grandfather who approves of his desicion. His dad died in Pearl Harbor and he wants to serve just like him and his grandfather.
